Kenai the husky’s fund

Kenai is a 11 year old Siberian Husky who we have had since I was 18 years old, for about 9 years. On Thursday March 14th around 11am my dad started to notice that Kenai was breathing hard and standing in one spot with her head tilted. Upon closer inspection her tongue which is normally a bright pink, had turned blue. My dad rushed her to the Pet ER and when he arrived the women at the front desk took one look at Kenai and rushed her to the back. She let us know that Kenai was critical. She went into surgery and over the next few hours they discovered that she had 5 liters of air in her chest cavity causing her lungs to collapse. Once that air was drained we thought we were in the clear. Around 6pm they discovered that her chest cavity was filling up again and made the decision to place a stint in her side to slowly take out air from her chest cavity. Friday March 15th the hospital conducted a CT scan and found a ruptured bulla that needed immediate surgical intervention as it had caused a tear in her left lung. The surgery went well, but Kenai is struggling with the recovery process and is in a lot of pain. She will be down for about 4 weeks. The total for her emergency stay so far is 17,000 and climbing. All funds will be going to her ER bills
