Ken Vs. Lyme Disease

Donation protected
For those who know Ken, he has been struggling with Lyme disease for over a decade. He is going to be starting his second round of Lyme disease treatment at Lyme Mexico, located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. For further details on the clinic, you can visit www.lymemexico.com.

Ken is more than just a friend, husband or son-he's a devoted father of three beautiful children and a valued member of the Toronto Police family since 2005, serving as a special constable.

It was in February 2012 that Ken's health began to deteriorate rapidly. He experienced chronic fatigue, headaches, and weight loss, dropping over 50lbs seemingly overnight. Along with the physical symptoms, there are psychological and emotional hurdles he suffers with this. Ken was not well enough to perform his uniformed duties, so he pushed forward and joined the liaison office on light duties. Unfortunately, this ultimately led to selling the family home to continue providing financial support for Ken's treatment.

Since then, Ken hasn't been able to return to work but hopes to recover quickly after treatment and return as soon as possible.

Earlier this year, Ken, with his wife Daniela and their children, travelled to Puerto Vallarta for Chronic Lyme Disease Treatment; he underwent five weeks of gruelling treatment in a foreign country. There, he underwent hyperthermic treatment, the only known treatment to show success when dealing with patients suffering from chronic Lyme. Unfortunately, thousands of Canadians, Americans, and people from all over the world travel to clinics willing to offer patients treatments unavailable in their countries. These treatments are always all out of patients' pockets.

The first round of treatment did show some successful results, but Ken needed more time, and it was costly; the family ran out of funding and was not able to fully complete his treatment, and he had to return home.

Ken needs to undergo a second round of treatment. With your financial support this time, he hopes to commence in May 2024 for another 8 to 10 weeks of treatment.

This journey has been very emotional and costly, and we're asking you to show your full support to Ken, Daniela, and their children as a friend, family member, and part of the Toronto Police family.
