I am trying to help my Uncle Kenny. On July 28, 2019 my Uncle Kenny’s life was turned upside down. What started out a normal day working changed hours later. Ken began to have stomach pain that got progressively worse during the day and into the evening. Late that night he ended up in the emergency room. The stomach pain resulted in a perforated bowel. He was taken to surgery and a section of his bowel was removed and a colostomy was performed. He was in the intensive care unit for several days. He is home now with IV antibiotics to fight the E Coli infection and trips to the wound center 3 days per week.
It is hopeful that this is only a temporary colostomy. Ken has 2 more surgeries ahead of him. The first is to close the open wound and a second to reverse the colostomy.
Ken has recently just started a new job and does not have any leave banked up. He will miss a significant amount of work before the doctors will release to return to normal work duties.. He has at least two more surgeries in his future.
Although it is extremely hard for Ken and Lacie hard to ask for help- I want to try to do what we can! The funds raised will go towards medical bills and expenses while he is unable to work for the up coming weeks/months.
Please consider donating! It will be well appreciated!
