Hello, I'm trying to raise funds towards my dad's funeral.

My dad (ken) passed away on the 8th of August 2025 after a tragic long battle with Huntington's disease, 12 years after a heart wrenching diagnosis (a year after the sudden news of his daughter's death) he finally grew his angel wings from pneumonia in his care home with my mum sat beside him.

My mum and dad are both 74 and my mum's always been the strongest lady, always willing to help people even when going through cancer treatment for lung cancer. Emotional struggles and other things that never kept her down, she was a long term carer for my dad for over 11 years until she had no choice but to surrender him into a care home after her cancer diagnosis a year ago, she can barely move around without getting out of breath because of her severe case of COPD on top of that and is on constant oxygen wherever she goes. She's limited on her life, She lives alone and we have no family that live close.

My mum married my dad at the age of 17 so they have had a long long life together. They are the best parents I could ever ask for but now my mum's struggling to pay 5,400 in funeral costs for my wonderful dad's funeral while she's on a small pension.

I guess I'm asking for help because as a community and family we need to help relieve her of the crisis we're all currently living. As her daughter I always help her and support her as much as I can as she's my rock and so was my dad but in my eyes it's not enough.
