House trashed by druggie squatters!

Dear kind-hearted friends,

After an extended out-of-state trip to visit family, my long-time friend Ken and his brother Don returned to their home to find it broken into, ransacked and made uninhabitable by a couple of drug addicts.  They are now stuck in a hotel with their black Lab named Molly.

To make matters worse, the squatters destroyed their mailbox, which has created issues with missing letters from their health insurance provider. So now their health insurance is all messed up as well and they cannot utilize it.

On top of all this, Ken is now suffering from a viral infection that has infected his whole body.  He can hardly hear and is unable to do anything.  The three of them are in dire need of immediate funds to cover the costs of contractor repairs, health care expenditures, and countless other miscellaneous expenses that are not covered under their homeowners insurance (e.g., new clothes - the squatters either stole or soiled all the clothes in the house). 

 Ken has been a loyal friend to me and to others for many years.  He has always been there for us, and now it is time for him to know that others care for him. He is also the sole provider and caregiver to Don, who has been challenged throughout his whole life with health issues (e.g., hemophilia) & developmental challenges.  Please find it within your hearts to help me raise money for them to get their lives together again and find a new home.  Some expenses are past due, some are imminent and still others are right around the corner.
