Ken Bursey
Hello everyone! Ken Bursey: AIA director & founder, our teacher, and very loved member of our community is currently in the hospital with multiple health problems. This year he’s been constantly in and out of the hospital receiving care. This week he was re-admitted to the hospital and this morning he was moved to the ICU. For Burseys privacy I will not go into details about his medical condition.
Several people have asked to go see Bursey in the hospital but he is only allowed one visitor a day and we have reserved that spot for his college best friend who is a doctor and reviews Bursey care during his visit with him.
Others have asked if they are able to send Bursey items. I’m sure Bursey would appreciate any form of uplifting encouragement! He is unable to eat food, so I would just suggest not sending food.
Others have asked if they could help financially, so I have set up a fund for those who want to help Bursey medical bills, or what his family sees fit.
For those of you who had the fortunate opportunity to be taught by Ken Bursey, you know that he has been more than a history, math, or geography teacher. Bursey has been a life teacher. He’s taught so many of us empathy and compassion for humanity. Sometimes he’s eccentric with his teaching method but we’ve always been able to take a larger life lesson away from it and carry it with us through life. He’s always been such a creative mind, making learning interesting and hands on. Some include: shaving cream fight at the end of Surf day, to shake day, where he would make us mustard, hot sauce milk shakes to teach us that trying unknown things isn’t as scary as it seems.
His philanthropist ways have taught all his students that the happiest people are not those who are getting more, but those who are giving more.
Disclaimer: Ken Bursey has not asked me to start a GoFundMe. I have not even told him yet. I am simply starting this fund because multiple people were asking where they can contribute financially. If you feel compelled to donate, please do. If you are unable to, please just keep Ken Bursey in your prayers.

I will be creating video montages for Bursey every 4-5 video clips I receive. I’ll ask his nurse to play it for him at the hospital. Below is the link where you can upload a video of yourself so I can edit it.
Tips: identify yourself and maybe add some info to jog his memory. Since he has impacted so many people I want to make sure he places everyone correctly in his mind.
