Ken and Mary's lives in ashes from Eaton Fire
Donation protected
In 2021, our parents, Ken and Mary, left our childhood home after 40 years to be close to their children and family in the Altadena area during the golden chapter of their lives. Last week, they lost their house to the Eaton Fire. Everything is now ashes. The evacuation happened so fast that they only left with a few medical items and some documents. We need help ushering their lives into this new chaotic chapter. Any donations will help our senior parents make it through this impossible heartache as we figure out a new version of life for them.
My parents were craftsmen through and through. You could never meet two people more dedicated to taking care of their home. They were do-it-yourself fixers to their core. Their possessions were more than consumer knick-knacks. They were handmade, and some of them dated back through century-old generations of our family.
Our family is speechless and pained at the loss our entire community is experiencing. Our hearts go out to anyone in their same situation and those who support them. Thank you to all the firefighters and caretakers out there risking their lives for all of us.
