Ken and Dawne need your help.

UPDATE TO THE MAIN POST.

The support that has been given to Ken and Dawne to date is so incredibly appreciated.  If you've been keeping up the the updates, you know that things for Ken have been touch and go with more lows than highs in his recovery.  Last weekend things were very dire and prayers helped to get his stats going in the right direction.  We are 23 days in an Ken is a very sick man.  He is still in the ICU, where he will be for a long time.  While there has been slight improvement, he is still unconscious and unaware. The doctors told Dawne today that Ken's recovery is going to take months in the hospital under direct care.  Dawne has been the sole provider for their family since the summer when Ken's illness prevented him from working.  While Dawne is with Ken, she is not getting paid and could really use some more help.  It is uncertain when she will be able to return to work.  Please continue to support Dawne and Ken during this more-than-anticipated road to health.

I'm posting this GoFundMe page for my best friend Dawne and her amazing hubby Ken.

In June of this year, Ken was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure.  With many hospital stays and endless testing and paper work, Ken was approved and placed on the transplant list.
After months of waiting, a donor liver was found and blessed to Ken on Christmas day. After a 7 hour surgery, Ken is resting comfortably and everything is looking good.  There are a couple issues and the surgeons will be going back in just to be sure everything looks perfect. At a minimum, Ken will need to stay in the hospital for 7 days.
Ken's recovery time could be anywhere from one month to three.  During that time he will need to stay near the hospital. Dawne and her mother-in-law will be trained to be Ken's 24/7 caregiver.
It's still too soon to tell how quickly this family will get back to a state or "normalcy," but in the meantime expenses are mounting.  Ken and Dawne will need to stay near the hospital which is more than two hours away from home.  Any donations you are able to give will help toward lodging expenses and food as well as lost wages because Dawne will be unable to work until they are released to go back home and we all know that bills don't stop
Your financial support is so greatly appreciated.  Please continue to say prayers for Ken’s speedy recovery and that Dawne’s strength remains unwavering and pray for the family that lost a love one to provide this blessing to Ken.  Thank you.
