Help Us Build a House of Allah in Kemptville
Assalamu Alaikum,
For years, the growing Muslim community in Kemptville and the surrounding Leeds and Grenville region has been striving to maintain a consistent place for prayer and worship. With no permanent mosque in the area, our community has relied on rented halls and temporary spaces to come together for daily prayers, Friday (Jummah) prayers, Ramadan Taraweeh, and Eid congregations. Since June 2024, this effort has required constant coordination, recurring rental costs, and the unwavering generosity of community members, yet every month remains a financial challenge.
Despite these difficulties, the community has continued to stand together. Daily prayers are sustained through collective effort, and larger congregational prayers are held in rented municipal spaces so that everyone can pray safely and with dignity. Still, the absence of a permanent home weighs heavily on our hearts. A mosque is not just a building. it is a place of peace, reflection, learning, and unity. It is where children learn to recite the Qur’an, where families find comfort, and where people come together to remember Allah.
By the mercy of Allah, we now have an opportunity to change this reality.
We are in the process of purchasing a property at 417 Rideau Street, Kemptville, which will serve as a permanent Masjid for our community. This space will allow us to establish a stable house of worship open to all where prayers, education, and community programs can continue for generations to come, InshaAllah.
Our goal is to raise $700,000 by April 8, 2026 to secure this property. This campaign is being run to help us meet this goal through monthly contributions, one-time donations, and community support. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to securing a lasting home for worship and remembrance of Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Jannah.” (Sahih Bukhari)
We humbly ask you to join us in this noble effort through your donations, your du’as, and by sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can establish a house of Allah in the heart of Kemptville and leave behind a legacy of faith, unity, and service.
