What an amazing miracle!
Last night Kemp received a new healthy heart.
Just before he went into surgery he said he was thinking earlier yesterday wouldn't it be great if God were to provide a heart in the next day or so.
As they were preparing him for surgery he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said God has a way of exceeding our expectations. He certainly did!
The surgery went well and Kemp is now recovering. He will remain in the hospital for about 2 weeks which is normal.
We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, community, and resources shared thus far. Kemp is drawing on the strength of each of you throughout this journey. He is very blessed and thankful for the many ways you are supporting him.
Kemp Smeal is a talented, multi-faceted organist, pianist, and conductor in the Los Angeles area. He is currently awaiting a heart transplant.
Help us support him in his year-long journey through transplant and recovery. Give a little or give a lot. Everything helps!
Even though Kemp has his new heart we still need to keep raising money for his year long recovery. We did very well at the benefit concert yesterday and when I can update the total between gofundme and what we have received from everyone at the church I will post it and update the total needed.
