My brother in law was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in the base of his tongue and there is lymph node involvement. He will need 6 weeks of radiation and chemo. He has an excellent chance of recovery but the treatment is going to be very aggressive and very difficult with many side effects.   Derek will not be able to work and my sister is very overwhelmed with how they are going to pay the bills during this time. This money will help them to focus on Derek and not how to pay the utilities, rent and any other expenses.
