Kelvin Chew Memorial Fundraiser

On the evening of May 7th, Kelvin Chew stepped outside his residence in the Portola district in San Francisco to get some fresh air after a class on Zoom. Two suspects, Fagamalama Pasene and Zion Young, attempted to commit robbery when Kelvin stepped outside and in the process committed homicide that resulted in Kelvin’s death. Kelvin was 19 years old and looking forward to studying computer science and engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz. The tragic event was senseless as Kelvin left behind two immigrant parents and a sister along with a promising career in technology. Funds raised on GoFundMe will go to support Kelvin’s family through this period of time for their general financial needs. The family has stayed relatively quiet until now and wish to use this platform to also raise awareness about violence.
