Keltner Family Medical Financial Emergency

Hi, my name is Robert and I am asking for help for myself my wife, Christy, and two boys, Nicholas and Kevin during this very hard time with me being back in the hospital. I have had multiple back surgeries over the years which has made me change careers, and that started to lower our monthly income. Just in this last year, I was admitted to the hospital in May 2025 because of uncontrollable leg spasms and I went downhill so quickly that I was placed on a ventilator for two days in the ICU and finally after three weeks of being in the hospital and rehab hospital, I was able to go home. Just last week I was cleared from home PT to be able to be self dependent on my own and was scheduled to end my Short Term Disability leave on September 4 but unfortunately on August 26, I had another episode of my uncontrollable leg spasms and I have been in the hospital since then. The way they measure with blood tests for my legs were damaged so much is a CPK level and normal is anywhere between 80 to 150 but when I came into the emergency room, mine was at over 15,000. Yes it has dropped significant since then, but this has done nothing but push me back and delayed my time to go back to work. I do not know when I will go back to work and I am currently getting only Short Term Disability pay, which is only 60% of my base pay, and due to the hospitalizations in the last year, we are behind on our mortgage payment multiple months and we were trying to get caught up up until this last episode for me. The stress of what I’ve been through is nothing compared to the stress that I feel every day financially especially for Christy and The boys not knowing what bill is going to be due next how many times were late on something or if they’re gonna cut services off on some bill. We are caught up on our small bills, but we’re always about 2 to 3 weeks behind on our car payments, Insurance, cell phone, and obviously our mortgage. To be honest, it has taken me a long time to do this go fund me because I do feel ashamed of having to ask for so much assistance, but there are some things even out of my control that I cannot help and with me not knowing when I’ll get out of the hospital or when I’ll go back to work, we could use any and all help at all possible right now. We’re struggling to get groceries and just to put gas in the cars. I pray that this reaches somebody or some people who have the opportunity to assist us, but if they cannot, I completely understand because everybody is having a hard time right now. I’m just to a point that I feel so helpless. I want to thank anyone in an advance with either prayers or financial contribution to us because I want get back to the point that we could be able to help somebody else out in a situation like mine. My poor wife is waiting to have back surgery herself until I get back to normal, but that means it kind of just starts all over again for us. I just don’t know what to do except to put this in God‘s hands. Update to our story, a while after writing this our oldest Son Nicholas was driving my Jeep on 465 and he rear ended a parked semi in the fast lane and he totaled my Jeep. Fortunately he walked away from the accident and now we are paying for a Jeep we do not have anymore because the Insurance company only gave me about half of what I still owe on it which is close to 6K. Thank you for taking the time. to learn a little bit about our story and if you’re able to assist, you will never be forgotten.
