Keltin's Childhood Cancer Crusade
Donation protected
A mass was found on Keltin's lower back November 2016 when he was 8 months old. After multiple scans, it was confirmed that the mass was a tumor and had spread through his body.
At 9 months old, Keltin was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Chemotherapy was started immediately. After months of treatments, scans showed that the chemo treatments were working.
In June 2017, Keltin had surgery to remove the tumor.
Tests showed all the tumor had been removed. After recovering from surgery Keltin then continued with his chemotherapy.
After a routine scan in September 2017, it was found that cancer had returned. Keltin's doctors have now reached out to multiple children's cancer specialists around the country for advice on how to continue with Keltin's treatment.
As of now, the plan is to start a new chemotherapy and proton radiation. This proton radiation is not offered in South Carolina so Keltin will have to travel to Philadelphia to receive this special radiation. Keltin will receive chemotherapy and radiation in Philadelphia for 2 months. When radiation is complete he'll return home to complete chemo treatments and plan for surgery.
