I’m 19 and I have a tumor in my brain, it is located so deep in my brain that it can’t be removed with surgery and they can’t get a sample of it to biopsy it. This is why it is so difficult to figure this thing out. Along with the tumor I have pituitary deficiency, the pituitary is a gland in your brain that controls all your hormones and this causes my hormones to be out of wack and which lead me to lose 20 pounds. Along with weight loss I pass out frequently and I get very severe head aches. Some of the medications prescribed to me are about 800$ and insurance doesn’t cover them. I get really bad head aches at least 5 days a week which makes it hard for me to go to classes and work. Not to mention having weekly doctor appointments, multiple spinal taps and Regular MRI’s. All of the medications I am on help to give my body artificial hormones, manage my head aches and keep me from passing out as often.
