Kelsie's Cancer Krew

On the afternoon of December 12, 2022, Kelsie went to the ER for severe abdominal pain & vomiting. By midnight, the doctors gave the family the results that she has lymphoma. Kelsie was admitted and they began running a million tests due to the nature of her symptoms. They did a biopsy and found out she has Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She started chemo while she was still in the hospital. Kelsie was finally released from the hospital on December 28, 2022.

Kelsie is receiving chemo on an outpatient basis every other Tuesday. To date, she has received 4 of the 12 treatments her doctor thinks she will need. This is subject to change based on PET scans that will happen periodically during treatment.

Kelsie graduated in 2022 from Southern High School, in Anne Arundel County, MD. In the fall, she started taking her pre-requisite courses for the Nursing program at Anne Arundel Community College. She loves to bowl and go camping with her family and friends. Kelsie has been in a bowling league since she was little and has participated in multiple bowling tournaments. As soon as she kicks cancers BUTT she'll be back on the lanes!
