Kelsie Harville's Brain Surgery

Kelsie is dealing with a very complicated, rare medical condition. She is only 15 years old and has a Chiari Malformation. Without brain surgery, this condition will alter Kelsie's path and will likely cause her suffering for the rest of her life. She is currently being homeschooled and is not medically allowed to participate in sports or strenuous activities. Kelsie is part of the class of 2024 and has always been a Wildcat. She has been heavily involved in Cheerleading and Soccer since she was 4 years old and has always loved to compete, even with her sweet, kind heart. Most of this class is preparing for their driving tests, exams, and sports tryouts.....Kelsie longs to live a normal life again, just like her peers.

Over the past few years, Kelsie's symptoms have continued to get worse, and her health declines daily. She suffers from horrible headaches, she passes out regularly, and she is in constant pain. Aside from Chiari, she has many other diagnoses,' as well. It is heartbreaking to watch such a sweet young lady, filled with so much potential, suffer so horribly. Her mother has exhausted every option available to get Kelsie the best doctor for this extremely complicated condition. Kelsie desperately needs brain surgery, and thankfully, the surgeon is able to schedule her surgery for February 9th, just 2 1/2 weeks before her 16th Birthday. Kelsie will need to remain in New York City for a few weeks before being allowed to return home. With such short notice, this has created a financial burden on her family. The cheapest hotel in NYC near the hospital is extremely expensive, not counting meals, airline tickets, medical co-pays, prescriptions, and anything else Kelsie may need to recover as quickly as possible. Kelsie's family has never asked for help in any way, but they are desperately trying to save their daughter and give her a future without all of these horrible complications. Her parents will lose two weeks of pay, as well. Kelsie is terrified but wants to have this much-needed brain surgery so she can feel better and enjoy her teenage years.

Kelsie and her family have struggled helplessly with this diagnosis for a long period of time. It has been emotionally exhausting for them to watch Kelsie decline so quickly. This surgery is necessary in order for Kelsie to have any hope of living a normal, pain-free life. She is very near and dear to our hearts as we have watched her grow up.

PLEASE help Kelsie!! She is an asset to our community and has a bright future ahead. She is kind and sincere, and unfortunately, she is sick and needs our community to ban together to help her!! Any amount of money you can donate will help her family so much more than you know. If you can't donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST!! #KelsieStrong
