Hi all. As many of you have followed Kelsie in her journey of ill health over the last 12 months and haven’t heard anything since her discharge, unfortunately this update doesn’t give you or us the closure we was expecting, as the TPN she is on that’s aimed to keep her alive, is simply keeping her alive to kill her. 18 months they said. We have since found out her pancreas is dead, so she is now insulin dependant, since then we was told her liver is failing, following that a few days later confirmed her kidneys are failing.. day after that we found her heart is failing. So currently she is experiencing multiple organ failure, reducing her to 12 months life expectancy, her feeds and meds have increased to prolong the failure. We are awaiting an appointment at Cambridge Hospital to get her onto the transplant list for a new bowel which if sooner rather than later will save the above mentioned organs.
