Kelsey's Big Chop - Gender Affirmation Surgery

Hello!
I'm Kelsey. I'm a professional nerd with ties to the board gaming, LARP, and TTRPG world who currently works as a Community Manager for a gaming convention. My focus and passion is on bridging the gap that exists for diverse and minority communities to participate in gaming.
I am also hella non-binary.
This is a label I've had for myself since I discovered it 10+ years ago as I tried to figure out where I fit in the world, but like many queer folk in the pandemic, the insular nature of COVID has lead me to a lot of self-reflection -- mainly that I would like this body to match my pronouns better and that involves getting rid of this mondo rack.
Ideally, I'd love to make this happen before I have to return to the con circuit again late this fall and because of the tight timeline, planning has already begun. I have my letter of recommendation in hand, consultation appointments have been made, and that leaves me to plan for the price tag. I currently have no health care and work as a 1099 contractor, so this surgery will be entirely out of pocket. The cost for the surgery is around $8500~ -- this doesn't include any time I have to take off for work to heal, but I am confident that I'll be able to save up enough to make sure bills still get paid.
There is a potential I may find fulltime work with benefits before my surgery date, depending on timing. If that is the case, any funds donated would go straight into another trans or non-binary person's GoFundMe in order to help them pay for theirs. But since I can't plan on knowing if I will have fulltime work or not, I need to start raising funds now so I can plan to take care of any costs sooner rather than later.
Any little bit helps and goes directly to help pay for surgery costs or aftercare! If you can't donate (and zero worries if you can't), sharing this also helps.
Thanks, and I can't wait to give the next update on my soon-to-be-free-of-boob journey.
