Kelsey Nalepa Scholarship Fund
Each year, the UHV Softball Team raises funds for causes close to our hearts. This year, we are supporting the Kelsey Nalepa Scholarship Fund and raising awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.
On April 6th, 2017, 8-year-old Kelsey was tragically killed by a drunk driver on the way to her softball game. This scholarship fund was started through the League City Girls Softball Association in her honor. We, along with LCGSA and Kelsey’s family, will strive to keep her bright light alive by encouraging and supporting female students who have made a positive impact on their community through sport, service and leadership.
On April 5th we will wear purple and butterflies (Kelsey’s favorites) during our home game against Jarvis Christian at 6:00 pm. It's our mission to raise as much money as possible before that date. Please join us in supporting this very worthwhile cause. Every donation and share helps!
