I’m asking for help to get a headstone for my daughter Kelsey, who passed away on 10/31/23. She always cared for her brother Kody’s headstone after he passed in 2013, and now I want to honor her the same way. Any support, even sharing this, means so much to me.

On October 31, 2023, our beloved daughter, Kelsey Ingham, left this world far too soon.

Kelsey was born with cystic fibrosis, a disease that made every day a challenge, but she lived with incredible courage, humor, and love. In 2018, she received the gift of life through a double lung transplant, which gave her more time to spend with family and friends. She cherished those years, making memories we will hold onto forever.

In 2023, Kelsey developed a lung infection that couldn’t be cleared, and despite her fight, it ultimately led to her passing.

Because of her pre-existing illness, I was never able to get life insurance for Kelsey when she was younger. In 2023 I tried again, but there was a two-year waiting period — and I knew deep down she didn’t have two years left. That meant no policy was in place. Her funeral was only possible through a loan and the kindness of donations, and I am still making payments on that loan today.

Since becoming disabled in 2015, I have been living on a fixed income. I’ve been saving little by little to provide Kelsey with the headstone she deserves, but unexpected expenses keep forcing me to use those savings. Asking for help does not come easily for me, but I cannot do this on my own.

Kelsey was not only a fighter, but she had the biggest heart. After her brother Kody passed in 2013, she faithfully decorated and cared for his headstone. It was her way of keeping his memory alive. Now, it is my greatest wish to do the same for her — to give her a headstone that honors her life, her courage, and the love she gave so freely.
