6 years of hard work and dedication were all packed into a 26ft UHAUL trailer ready for a new start only to be stolen in one night.

Hi, my name is Crystal I am fundraising for my sister and brother-in-law, Kelsey and Elmer Lopez to help them gain back some of what they have lost. On Jan 18th, 2023 Elmer's last day in the Army of 6 years came to an end to start a new journey of joining the National Guard and going back to nursing school. My sister, Kelsey has plans of growing her small business and is excited to finally move back home to Arizona. What was supposed to be a fresh start quickly became a nightmare overnight.

On Jan 19th 2023, they stopped overnight in Albuquerque, NM with a 26ft UHAUL trailer that had every single last possession they have gained in those 6 years. It was all stolen from them that night. They have filed police reports and posted notices on multiple Alburquerque Facebook pages and sites, and have looked through several surveillance footage videos but nothing has come of it. All they had when they came home were the clothes on their backs, their two dogs, Elmer's patrol cap (the only piece of military gear he has left) and their overnight bag.

All of my brothers-in-law's army memorabilia, military gear, training equipment, and military uniforms, my sister's livelihood rested on her entire small business equipment including specialty printers, Cricut machines, and tools, to help bring income to the home. So much was packed in that trailer. Furniture, home appliances, workout

equipment, TVs, clothes, jewelry, not to mention all the priceless sentimental items from letters to each other during basic training to their wedding items are all gone. They feel so violated and vulnerable knowing someone is going through all their personal belongings. They are currently staying with family until they can get back on their feet.

They now have to completely start from scratch. So with all my humility I ask for your help in any way that you can offer whether it is by monetary donation, passing their story along, prayers, or donations we would all be so appreciative. Any donations will go towards helping rebuild the life they worked so hard for.
