Getting Kelsee & Rory Residency!
Donation protected
Hello!
We are the in-laws of Kelsee and grandparents, aunts, and uncles of Rory; parents and siblings of Kelsee's husband and Rory's dada, Justin.
A tiny bit of history: Kelsee and Justin met and fell in love years ago at a sports and music camp they each attended for several summers. Although they lived 14 hours apart, their relationship grew into a lifelong love that culminated in their marriage on July 28, 2012. Kelsee and Justin have lived in Pennsylvania and South Carolina during their 3 years of marriage as they finished up their degrees and landed their first real grown-up jobs. In June 2015, along came beautiful little Aurora! Life for the Perkins has been full of love, laughter and adventures with their latest being the one that necessitates this campaign.
Kelsee and Rory are US Citizens, Justin is a dual citizen of Canada and the US. Their little family moved up to Kanata, ON (right outside Ottawa) just about a year ago now. Since then, Rory has been growing and charming everyone she meets! Kelsee is an amazing attentive mom who has been staying home with Rory while Justin, a terrific dad, has been adjusting to his new job as a Youth Pastor at a local church. They are a wonderful young family and we are not only proud of them, but are so thrilled to have them living close by! They are excited to be building their life here and making lots of friends in the community and at church.
The only bump in the road has been in the process of applying for Permanent Residency for Kelsee and Rory. While Justin is able to work, Kelsee is not....which is ok because this is such a crucial time for her to be home with Rory! But, as many of you know, you don't go into the ministry for the large salaries.
Justin and Kelsee are not complainers and they both work hard. They have spent many hours preparing the Permanent Residency application for Kelsee and have finally received and collected all the paperwork required. All that's left to scrape together is the application fee....which comes to just under $1000 for Kelsee's application alone.
Justin and Kelsee are not proud but they would never want to burden their friends and family by asking for help with this fee. So, we wanted to ask for them.
We have set the goal of this Go Fund Me campaign at $1500 because we want to help raise enough money to cover both Kelsee's and Rory's applications. Rory also needs a passport in order to make trips to visit family in the US.
If you know Justin and Kelsee, you know what a terrific, dedicated, hard-working young couple they are. They'd give the shirt off their backs to help someone, even if it meant sacrificing something for themselves. They have chosen careers in service of others: Justin as a Youth Pastor caring for a large group of teens and Kelsee as an Elementary Teacher with a specialization in Special Education. They could've chosen more lucrative fields, they are both extremely smart and responsible, but they wanted to serve their Lord in this way.
If you have an extra dollar or two, please consider a donation to this fund to help Kelsee and Justin with the Permanent Residency and Rory's passport fees. In this way, you can very practically affirm them in their ministry. We will add the names of everyone who gives to a card in which we'll enclose the grand total donations. If you'd like to add a personal message to the card, please feel free to leave it in the comments section of this campaign.
We hope to have this money collected by September 30, 2016 and will make the presentation on October 1, 2016!
Thank-you for your time and consideration. God Bless!
