Hello all! My name is Monica Spradlin and I'm a Junior at Texas A&M University, but this is not for me. This is for my dog, Kelsabell. Better known as Kels. I've had this girl since she was born. LITERALLY. My other dog gave birth to her and my mom made me watch because it was the "miracle of life". That was in 2007. She has been my best friend ever since. Anyone who knows me and Kels knows that we are insperable. Kels has been there for me through loss, heartache, illness, and much more. A lot of people think I'm joking, but I think this dog is my soul mate. She is the best dog too. Anyone who has met her has fallen instantly in love with her sweet eyes and playful spirit. She deserves the happiest life any dog can have.
Now it is 2016 and she needs my help. I took her into the vet this last week because she was limping, long story short they found an agressive lesion on her bone and they suspect it is most likely cancerous. They originally quoted me $500 for a biopsy, but are now saying that it will be $1500-$2000 for the biopsy alone because of where the lesion is. As much as I wish I had this money, I don't. All donations will be going toward Kels' medical bills. Even on a payment plan, I have to pay half of this upfront. If i can get the money, we will have a consultation with the orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday and the biopsy will be Thursday or Friday (10/20 - 10/21). If it is cancer, they will have to amputate her leg which will also be very expensive, but it will be the best chance at her to live a full and happy life. If it isn't cancer, she will still have a long road ahead of her on extreme antibiotics or a possibility of still having an amputation.
I love this dog more than I love myself. I do not like to ask others for money, but I am truly desperate to give my dog a chance at the life she deserves. We don't deserve dogs. We really don't. I sure as heck did not deserve Kels, but she has loved me unconditionally and made me smile on my worst days. Even if you can only spare $5, it would help us so much. Anything would help me, really. I can not tell you how much I apprecaite it.
Thanks and Gig'em!
