Kelly Whitten’s Journey

Kelly Whitten is an incrediable child that has been fighting to live since she was born. She has fought heart disease, heart surgery, liver and kidney failure, double transplant of a kidney and liver, sepsis, loss of vision, complications of transplanted kidney, PTLD, chronic lung disease, multiple hospitalization due to immunosuppression, and has low gamma globulin levels which causes her to have monthly infusions.
Due to her medical conditions, she is hospital homebound.
Kelly is working with the Children’s Dream Fund. Together with Kelly’s ideas, they are working on part of her dream having a playhouse. She is going to have swings, a slide, a zip line, and a sandbox. Inside she will have a place to hangout to create her art without any interruptions from her siblings. Outside she will have a place to play with her siblings and her friends. She is very excited!
Part of her dream was to include an above ground therapy spa. Unfortunately, she was only able to choose the playhouse or the spa.
We are raising funds to purchase the spa separate so we can include the above ground therapy spa to help complete her outdoor space. The spa will provide therapy for her low muscle tone, provide exercise, and enjoyment. Due to her being immunosuppressed, she should stay away from public water use. This includes public pools (bacteria), lakes (microorganisms), and the beach (red tide outbreaks). Living on the Florida west coast, it gets incredibly hot and humid.
Please consider donating to complete her dream of an exciting outdoor play area.
Sincerely,
