KELLY’S HEART TRANSPLANT JOURNEY

Hello. I’m asking for prayers and donations for my mom and dad while they go through a journey that will cause great financial burden on their home.

On 10/26/2023. My dad was listed on the transplant list at an active status in Houston, TX. We are hopeful that he gets a heart soon but also understand what another family has to go through in order for this to happen.

My dad is honestly the best person. He’s caring. He’s kind. He gives more than he receives. He’s mine and my brothers hero. If you ask Julia, her Pop hung the moon and the stars and does no wrong. (And as a daddy’s girl, I couldn’t agree more) He NEVER asks for anything even when he should. Which is why I’m coming asking for prayer warriors for our family, especially my dad and my mom.

My dad will be out of work for 3 months or more, my mom will be out of work for atleast 6 weeks (as a lot of you know, if she isn’t working she isn’t making any money as a hair stylist). My mom could be out longer depending on the circumstances. My dad will not be able to come home for atleast 6 weeks causing he and my mom a lot of stress and financial burden as she will never leave his side to come home to work to make money to pay their bills. On top of bills that they already have, they now will have the financial burden of paying for a new heart, the heart that will save my dad’s life.

Mr. Dan Fordice, heard about my dad’s condition from a family friend and immediately offered his services on flying my dad and mom to Houston, TX the moment they get the call that he has a new heart. He’s also spoken with several other pilots who also agree that if called upon they will fly them! That’s amazing! All Mr. Fordice asked in return was that he was able to meet my parents. If you have ever met either of my parents you know how easy it is to love them!!

This lifesaving procedure will cause a great deal of anxiety and stress but we, as a family, are hopeful.

On 11/10/2023, my dad was admitted into the hospital to await a transplant due to worsening condition in hopes this would help to speed up

the process of him getting a transplant as they could list him at a higher priority if he was admitted in the hospital.

Being in Houston primarily now has already caused a great deal of stress on both of my parents. Neither one will make money not being at work as they are both self employed. Any donation to help with medical bills and household bills they will face with now being relocated temporarily to Houston until transplant and then 3 months after will be greatly appreciated more than I could ever explain!
