My name is Benjamin Landry and we are reaching out to loving family, friends, neighbors, and other caring individuals to help aid Kelly in her battle against stage 4 Colon/Liver cancer...

We would like to share the story of an amazingly strong mother and a wonderful human being, Kelly Urso and her long battle ahead.

As many of you already know, Kelly is currently in a fight for her life and is about to undergo a major surgery, Removing 80% of her liver. Earlier in the year, Kelly started experiencing concerning symptoms which led to a visit to the walk in clinic. Medical tests revealed that she, in fact, had developed: colon cancer. If that wasn't devastating enough, further tests revealed that the cancer had spread to her liver, leaving us both in disbelief. "This kind of thing doesn't happen to you" are the words that go through your head wen you hear news like this. But in fact, it has happened, and that's why we are here. As devastating as this news may be, Kelly is not giving up on life. She is determined to stick around for a long time so that she can watch our 13 year old daughter blossom into a beautiful young woman.

Where we are now

In early February, Kelly made the hard decision to start advanced chemotherapy. Knowing the side effects and the toll, it was going to put on Her body and mind. Along with a number of holistic alternative medicines and an amazingly positive attitude, Kelly has managed to keep on working through this period

Kelly is now at a point where all the doctors agree. It is time to aggressively attack the cancer in her liver. As stated earlier, they want to remove 80% of her liver while her liver is still healthy enough for this type of surgery.

The next step

Now for the hardest decision so far. Kelly has decided to go ahead with the surgery. It wasn't an easy decision. With a 8 hour surgery and at least a full week in the hospital. The last thing Kelly needs to be worrying about is mounting financial expenses. The recoup time for a surgery like this could take up to 6 months.

So we are asking if you could help Kelly and her family lessen the financial Burden of rising medical expenses and loss of wages during this difficult period. We understand that these are difficult times for many people right now, so if you can even just send prayers Kellys way or share this message with your friends, that would be greatly appreciated.
