Hello, my name is Kelly Tapia, and I’m currently studying Criminal Justice at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. My goal is to become a Private Detective dedicated to seeking justice for unresolved cases. In the future, I aim to establish my own criminal investigations firm and build a team of brilliant minds committed to uncovering the truth and making a real impact for our nation.

I’m currently raising funds and accepting donations to help cover my college tuition and expenses that I will need for fall 2025 and spring 2026 in my last two semesters. The first one will start on September 1 and end in December. Lastly, spring starts right after New Year’s, almost over on January 26 and ends on May 16.

I was blessed to make progress in the first years of study with approved scholarships that I did qualify for, but unfortunately, I recently received notification that my financial aid got canceled due to new rulings. College expenses are expensive for me to pay in full. My mother is retired from a chronic illness , and my father's earnings are a little low, so it is overwhelming for a low-income family, and that puts me in a tight spot to complete my bachelor’s degree.
