Kellyn Wingate fight with Stage 4b Cervical Cancer
My daughter in law became very ill in mid November 2019 finally on December 24th 2019 Kellyn ended up in the hospital with a lot of test being run. The verdict Stage 4b cervical cancer that had metastasized to her lungs.. Not the news this family needed to hear again. ( Kellyn's sister in law and myself just ended our battle with breast cancer). Kellyn immediately started 6 rounds of chemotherapy which made her sick every round, she ended up in the hospital for days. once chemo was complete she went right into having 21 rounds of radiation. everything was completed in April the tumor had shrunk almost gone and there were no signs in her lungs. We all saw Kellyn starting to feel better until the end of June beginning of July the pain started back up. Back to the hospital they went test were run again The cancer is now in her liver and returned to her lungs. Kellyn has spent 13 days in the hospital trying to get the pain under control. She is now doing chemotherapy again. My son Shawn has missed a significant amount of work being by Kellyn's side the whole time. with kellyn off of work they are afraid their insurance will be terminated. A young couple like this should not have to go through the burden of cancer. we are trying to set up a benefit for them but with the Covid-19 we keep running into problems. We are asking for any help you can give. we are always asking for prayers for Kellyn & Shawn.
