Donation protected
To celebrate the life of Kelly Hills, the employees of Bernstein-Rein are raising funds to help support her family during this difficult time.
In December, Kelly experienced unexpected sickness and was taken to the hospital. After extensive testing, it was determined that she had a Glioblastoma multiform brain tumor, already in stage 4. On December 28, after spending Christmas with her family, Kelly had surgery to remove the tumor. At that time, about 85% of the irregularly-shaped tumor was removed. The remainder of the tumor was located in an area of the brain that would’ve caused serious complications if operated on. Therefore, that area underwent radiation and chemotherapy, which started in mid-January.
Since January, Kelly had been fighting hard to beat cancer. On May 14, her battle ended, surrounded by her family.
Kelly joined the Bernstein-Rein Yellow Pages Department in 1993. As a leader, she helped position B-R at the forefront of multi-channel directional marketing. Each day she came to work, she carried a positive attitude and was always the first to reach out to help others around her. As everyone with whom she interacted can attest, Kelly was an integral part of Bernstein-Rein life. We won’t ever be the same without her.
In order to help with the family's financial burden, donations are being accepted to help Kelly’s two sons—Tyler and Shane—and Kelly’s mother, Francey. The boys are now parentless after their father, Brian, passed away a few years ago.
