Please Help Kelly Keep Her Home
Donation protected
Kelly Finnerty Keefe justs wants to be able to keep her visitation with her children. She can't do that without a place of residence. After a lengthy divorce and custody battle, Kelly got the news that destroyed her world. Her ex would be given residential custody of their three beautiful boys. Kelly has worked hard her whole life. She worked during her three pregnancies and returned to work soon after each child was born. When her husband was on disability, she was the breadwinner. She always supported her family and worked full time. Kelly worked hours that would provide the best for the family dynamic and help the family finances. In the end, this was held against her in a costly divorce and custody battle.
After hurricane Sandy, Kelly lost her car and had to purchase a new (used) car to transport herself to and from work and her children to and from school and their father's home on her visitation days. She paid a down payment, but still makes monthly payments on a car that keeps needing repairs. Kelly pays child support to her ex because he has residential custody and she has accrued substantial lawyer fees. With those expenses, a cell phone and medical insurance, Kelly has found hersellf unable to afford her rent and will have nowhere to live as of May 1st. She barely has enough for food and necessities. Kelly works a full-time job. She would love to find a better paying job, or a second job. She would love to have better visitation hours with the boys. She is so busy just trying to keep her head above water so that she can see her children that it is impossible to accomplish anything else. If Kelly has nowhere to live she will not be able to have her children for overnight visitation. She will also be homeless. A small donation could help to a keep a roof over her head while she tries to figure out how to pay her support and rent and still eat and see her children. Jobs are not that easy to find. She is trying. Even if she could afford rent, many landlords do credit checks and her credit is not good. If she could hold onto the apartment she is in and not have to become homeless or even move anywhere for a third time in 15 months, it would be a dream come true!
Kelly Keefe is a beautiful person inside and out. She has the best sense of humor and most that know her will probably be very surprised to hear how bad her situation has become. She is always the one to help out everyone else and tries to keep her problems to herself. She realizes that she cannot do that anymore. She needs to have a place to live and a place her kids can call their second home.
Hearing her story probably reminds you of someone you know or maybe something from your own life. Kelly deserves our help and support. She would be the first to give it to someone else. Please give what you can. A small amount of help from many people could change a life. Thank you all in advance for your generosity.
