Update: This morning (11/28/20) Kelly Canterbury made her heavenly transition peacefully in her sleep. Her celebration of life will be held at Clayton's Funeral Home in her hometown Pearland Texas. This is the main source of income to pay for Kelly's farewell and all proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards the funeral costs. Please continue to share and encourage donations as we still have a little way to go to pay the funeral in full so we can celebrate Kelly's life.
Again, thank you to everyone who has given from your hearts to help the Canterbury and Sutton family in this time of need.
Thank you,
Ayana Mack

As many of you may know, my best friend Kelly Canterbury was diagnosed with stage four small cell lung cancer in February of 2020. At that time, she was told that even with treatment, she would only live another 9 months, but being the fighter that she is, she of course beat the odds and lasted much longer. Those of you who know Kelly know that she is a beautiful ball of laughter who loves hard and will do anything for her friends and family. She was adamant that she wanted to put up the biggest fight that cancer had ever come across moving forward with multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, soon after her initial diagnosis, the family received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other parts of her body, yet Kelly was still determined to fight. Kelly was determined to beat this and did not let her treatments stop her from living her life. She continued to work as often as she could and spend as much time with her beloved family and beautiful daughter Emily.
The doctors have now recommended that Kelly be transferred to hospice; which traditionally is a time dedicated to spending sweet moments with your family and loved ones, however, due to the current pandemic Kelly is not able to enjoy having her family close to her in her final moments because of the strict limitation on visitors allowed to enter the hospital.
We are asking for your help so that we can raise money for Kelly's final arrangements. As you can imagine none of us would have ever thought that this would be the year we would have to say goodbye to such a beautiful person full of so much energy and light, but that is what we are facing. Kelly's mother and father have tried to put money aside for her but they are both battling cancer as well and because of that, their funds have been exhausted.
We ask that you please find it in your heart to donate $10, $20, or whatever you can to help us provide Kelly with the homecoming celebration she deserves. If you’ve ever had a friend who could walk into a room and have everyone laughing at the drop of a dime, then you know Kelly and to know Kelly is to love Kelly. Please take a moment to donate whatever you can so that we can put a smile on Kelly’s face during her final moments the way she has done for everyone she’s come across during her lifetime.
Please share this post and may God Bless you and your family all the days of your life.
Sincerely,
Ayana Mack
