Kelly and Tor’s 30 Mile walk from Buckhurst Hill to Buckingham Palace and back...
Kelly & Tor are walking from Buckhurst Hill to Buckingham Palace and back (around 30 miles) on Saturday March 6th, to help raise money for Libby Cotts.
Libby is the daughter of our close friend Gemma Cotts, who desperately needs a bone marrow transplant to save her life.
She was diagnosed in October with Severe Aplastic Anaemia, bone marrow failure . The last few months she has been relying on weekly blood and platelet transfusion to keep her alive.
Gemma says “Libby is a little warrior who wont let this beat her!” but we need your help!!!
We are desperately trying to find a donor with the help of Anthony Nolan and DKMS charities .
For every £40 Anthony Nolan receive, they can process and look after 1 potential new stem cell donor - the key to those life saving matches.
Both charities send out swab kits FREE OF CHARGE, (these cost £40 per person to process) however due to COVID fundraising has been almost none existent and the charities are severely under funded.
This is why we have decided to take on this challenge to help raise awareness and more importantly funds to keep the charities able to process swab kits, and hopefully find Libby’s match as soon as possible.
