Dear friends and family,
The past two years have been challenging for each of us in so many unexpected ways, and seeing the resilience and strength of our communities as we navigate these tough times has given me hope in our ability to care for each other in our darkest moments.
My parents, Robert and Kelly Renteria, have been married for 33 years, and as I’ve watched them overcome hardship after hardship, from the passing of my great grandparents, to the cancer of their two year old son (healed and in remission!), I’ve seen them always put others before themselves in all they do.
At this time, I would like to humbly request a helping hand for my family. My mother is currently hospitalized for an indefinite period of time (we’re hopeful it won’t be for more than a week, or a few weeks at most), and my father’s truck for work is in need of some costly repairs. My father has owned and operated his own plumbing business for three decades, serving the homes of our community with skill and a servant’s heart.
I have watched my parents work so hard and so honestly for all that they have, and they are two of the most gracious people I know. It can be difficult to ask for help, so I’d like to do so on behalf of my family. Any small amount would help and would be put towards hospital bills, the repair of my father’s truck, and of course groceries and other such daily necessities.
My hope is that my mother can return and fully rehabilitate without any added worry.
Thank you to those who have already helped with meals and other kindnesses for my family. And of course, thank you for keeping the Renterias in your thoughts and prayers. You’re in ours as well.
With a heart full of gratitude and hope,
Sarah Renteria and all of the Renteria family.
