Kelly Prater Towler Memorial Fund

Dear Friends and Family,

The loss of a loved one is never easy, especially when it is sudden and unexpected. Your world is turned upside down and you wonder how you will every make it through the heartache. That is what happened to so many of us when we heard of the sudden loss of Kelly Prater Towler.

If you grew up in Wylie in the 70’s and 80’s then you knew the Prater’s. Kelly was in the class of 89 and her sister Kim was in the class of 86. And both along with their parents Larry Don & Sheila Prater sang at the Wylie Opry. Growing up in a small town had its advantages, you knew everyone, and they weren’t just your friends, they were your family. And the Prater’s were that for so many of us. They were the house everyone always ended up at. Kelly was always one of the first to show up with her big hair and even bigger attitude, along with her amazing smile to offer help, support or motivation to get you through any situation. She turned out to be an amazing daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend who you could count on for anything at any time. Her passing is a tremendous loss for so many of us.

Her sister Kim Prater Epperly, still to this day, is one of the first to keep us all together. Always organizing things to make sure that we all continue to remain close. The first to call when she knows we’ve experienced our own loss or rough patch in life.

I would like to start this Go Fund me to help the Prater family (who I love like my own) to help raise money to help them with the expenses of losing Kelly so unexpectedly so that they can just be there for each other without having to worry about the financial cost that we all know can be unbearable.

So, if you could donate anything, any little amount will help. It will be greatly appreciated. This family has been through so much in the past two years, I’d like to see if we can help ease the pain just a little…. The Wylie Way!

All funds raised will go directly to the Prater family. Kelly’s Celebration of Life will be 11/13 from 2:30-4:30 PM. If you would like to join the family at RSVP Farmersville 101B Candy Street, Farmersville Texas.
