Hi my name is Verna Pomar. I am trying to raise funds to help my daughter Kelly Ozlanski fight her battle with cancer.

This is Kelly at her surprise 50th Birthday Celebration. Less than a month later she received the devastating news that she has cancer. On top of that devastating news, we have learned that it is spindle cell sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive type of cancer. Kelly will not only have to undergo treatment for cancer, but she will need major reconstructive surgery on her face as the cancer is located in her jaw. Being Kelly is who she is and always puts others before herself, she said to the doctor “I work in day care, are my children going to be frightened of me?” The doctor responded, “you will not be the person you are today.” She may not look the same, and we may not see that same smile again, but she will always be the same person we all love. Kelly is the most loving, caring, and giving person I know. Kelly is a single parent to her son Tyler. She is more worried about him than herself. She is worried about the little children she cares for. She works in day care and will not be paid for her time off as she receives treatment. As you can imagine, she will be missing a lot of time at work, especially since this is so rare the Dr at Geisinger referred her to three separate hospitals. Sloan Kettering in N Y, Penn in Philadelphia and some place in Texas. We reviewed our options and chose Penn. She has an appointment to review a treatment plan on Thursday. We need all the prayers we can get. We also need to help Kelly get through this financial. The medical bills are already piling up. Rent needs to be paid, Electric, water, and oil will need to be paid. We ask ourselves “How?” with no income coming in because you cant work because you are receiving treatment to save your life. Kelly is a fighter. As her mother I am asking for anyone and everyone to donate to her funds. Funds will strictly be used for medical and living expenses. Please donate any amount.
