Hi, I am Kelly's brother Chris Owens. I am organizing this fund raiser for Kelly's children, Evan & Hayley. Kelly tragically passed away on December 26th. She went into cardiac arrest on October 23rd, and although EMT were able to restart her heart, Kelly experienced a severe anoxic brain injury at that time. She fought hard for 2 months, but finally succumbed to her injuries, leaving Evan & Hayley without their mom. Kelly worked at Victor Emmanuel's II for 20 years as a server where she built many relationships and long lasting friendships with people from all over the area. Our goal is to help Evan & Hayley with costs incurred over the past few months along with final expenses as Kelly did not have life insurance. Evan is a recent graduate of Penn State Berks Campus, and Hayley is a Junior at Penn State Berks Campus. They were her pride and joy, and she worked hard to give them a solid start to their young adult lives. I know that she would be grateful for any help to support her children at this time.
