Ronnie Kelly travelled from Manchester (where he has lived for 15 years) via Dublin to Cork to attend the Naval Service Stand Easy in Kelly's Bar on Fri 4th Oct. Ronnie served from '75 to '79, and was a crew member on Setanta, Fola and Grainne.

Unfortunately later that Friday evening he suffered a very serious medical issue, and he has been hospitalised since. He was in a coma for 2 days, and is currently being cared for by the staff of the ICU in CUH. His good lady wife, Wendy, is with him and obviously plans on staying local until Ronnie recovers.

While CUH has been able to help Wendy with some costs, there are other matters that need financial attention. We hope to raise €2,500 to assist Wendy and Ronnie's wider family with living expenses during this very difficult time.
