Kelly Has a Very Expensive Boo-Boo!!

Hi everyone and thank you for reading!
My name is Kelly and I'm a very good girl, but I really need your help right now!! For anyone who hasn't met me, I live with my mom Maggie and best friend/boyfriend/brother/husband Buster.
In October 2017, my mom was volunteering at Best Friends in Mission Hills when she spotted me being carried out of the medical unit, stinky hobo beard and all. (photo below)
I had been dumped at a kill shelter in south LA by my former "family" because of a big bloody tumor that had grown on my belly! They couldn't afford the surgery, so they just threw me away... but now I'm a breast cancer survivor and I got a second chance at life with my new family!
When Maggie saw me, I batted my puppy dog lashes and gave a lick up her nose, and the next day, my new brother/husband Buster brought me home, shaved the crusty five o'clock shadow, gave me lots of hugs and treats and laughed every time I howled with an ambulance siren.
In the five years since then, I've road tripped from LA to NJ and back, to Yosemite, Joshua Tree & Big Bear, up and down the east coast, been on planes and trains, and had a million adventures.
In October 2021, I started licking my paw a lot. Like a lot a lot. They did surgery on me twice and fixed me up, but the scar tissue grew and was very annoying, so I started licking more and more and it grew into a way bigger and scarier tumor…
It’s not cancerous, but it’s grown so large that my foot is basically not a foot anymore but a bloody stump, and it won’t heal through any means except full leg amputation.
My mommy has always had really good dog insurance (even when she didn’t have human insurance!) because she loves me, but because they’ve already done 2 “de-bulking” surgeries to remove the tumor, we’ve exhausted our annual maximum and Nationwide won’t pay for the amputation.
The vet estimate was $6,500 just for the ECG and surgery, not including the post-op care, which is why my mommy is asking for a little more to last until our insurance re-ups in April 2023.
She feels really awkward asking, but my poor mommy is running out of money and credit cards! She needs your help to give me another chance to live tumor- and pain-free and become the pawsome tri-pawd I know I can be!
Can you please give as much as you can to help me out? It’s my Christmas wish this year to safely get back to health. I promise I’ll pay you back in kisses!!!!
Love forever,
Your fave girl,
Kelly ❤️❤️
