In Loving Memory of Kelly Garofola

As her daughter, I thought it’d be best to write this myself to encapsulate just a few of the things my mother was. And she was everything. So much so that it’s quite difficult to even come up with the words to describe her and the endless amount of love she gave to everyone and everything. To write everything she was down on paper is overwhelming, as I don’t want to leave a single thing out. A mother, wife, sister, friend. Kelly graced everyone she came across with same gentle and caring manner, no matter who you were or where you came from. She judged no one and always welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. I’ve never met someone with so much love to give in their heart than my mom. Loosing her is loosing a piece of myself forever. My life and my family’s lives will most certainly never be the same again. Kelly had her struggles as does everyone in this challenging and difficult thing to navigate called life. And though she fought long and hard, and boy did she fight, that fight has unfortunately come to an end. An end that will always seem too soon, but an end to all of her pain. In these last few days, I’ve been able to see just how many people my mother has touched in her time here on Earth and it’s made me so much more proud to be her daughter than I already was before and I can only hope that I will be half of the person she carried herself to be. In this time of sadness and grief, loved ones should never have to be burdened by the costs of giving their family member the proper send off that they whole heartedly deserve. And in setting up this page, we hope to relieve some of the stress that comes with the devastating loss of a loved one. My family and I are so grateful for the outpouring love, words, memories, and support from those who have reached out and it means the world to us. We couldn’t thank you all enough.
