Kelly Foreman Car Crash Relief

Donation protected
Hello Community,
On Thursday January 26th Kelly was riding in the passenger seat with his friends Wade and Nate. They went around a corner too fast and crashed into a tree on Kelly's side of the car. Kelly has a fractured sacrum at S1, he's been experiencing numbness in his pelvic floor and left foot and hasn't been able to walk yet. This event occurred in Colombia during a paragliding vacation. Kelly is still Colombia waiting to heal enough to be able to sit on an airplane with less pain to endure the journey.

We are super hopeful for a recovery and becoming even stronger than before. We appreciate any support you can give as Kelly will not be able to work for an income for the future months.

*Kelly's story and update as of 7pm on Saturday Jan 28th:*

Cat is out of the bag, I believe is the saying.

Just after 5am Thursday morning I was a passenger in solo car accident in Santa Elena Colombia. The car went off the road at highway speeds and hit a tree on the passenger side where I was seated. The back seat passenger collided with my seat, breaking the seat, with me in it. I have sustained a fracture in my sacrum, it's a bone under the lumbar, in between the pelvis. The current status is that my spine and my spinal cord are not compromised. I have been in the hospital in Palmira Colombia for three days, and I am waiting to be transported to a spinal clinic in Cali Colombia. I feel like my diagnosis of a fracture in the S1 may hold true. But once I'm at the Cali clinic, more scans an such will tell the full story.

In zone 1 of the scrum, S1, there is the S1 nerve root. It runs through the buttocks to down the outside of the leg and to the foot.

My buttocks and left leg has been numb since the accident happened. However, that nerve is hopefully a strong sign that the injury is isolated at zone 1. Zone two and three get much more complex with the nerves, and require horrific life altering surgeries. But I have control over my bladder and bowls. So we're confident that there is no other damage.

I am not walking. But I am moving all my limbs well enough. And I should recover on bed rest alone. No surgeries required as of now.

What a full recovery looks like, I don't quite know. But with the support of my darling partner Stella and her passion for healing others, it is no questions that I will recovery. I just may enter a new paradigm. Though I currently have been really enjoying this one.

I've been in Colombia learning how to fly in clouds. And I expect to continue flying safely through this season back home in California. And I am very hopeful I may be able to make the journey back home in the next week or two.

I should know more over the next 36 hours, once I get to the clinic in Cali Colombia. .

I have been in contact with so many pilots that I met here. They check on me multiple times a day. Have brought me fruit and nuts, and make me laugh with genuine humor. Im so grateful for my global community. And I'm thankful this was not a piloting accident, and I can't wait to continue getting blissed out at altitude in international sky parties. Domestic too!

I'm doing well. Thank you to everyone who holds a little prayer for me. It's well recieved, and the positive intentions work miracles.
