I am setting up an account for a friend who lost their home in a house fire Christmas Eve. Their dog alerted them when he acted as though he needed to go out. When entering the family room, Jason saw fire coming from the fireplace at the ceiling. He had Amy call 911 and they got their son and dog out. Unfortunately they put the dog in the backyard while trying to get cars out of the garage. Firefighters opened the fence and the dog ran back into the house. Sadly, he did not make it.

The community is gathering around them and has helped with a donation drive at the school. They have found a rental home now and are trying to get adjusted. As you can imagine, they are devastated and trying to cope emotionally. I can't imagine losing all your possessions especially on Christmas Eve!
