Kelly Curnutt Simpton

On October 20, 2023, Kelly Kristine Curnutt Simpton passed away after a chronic condition suddenly and unexpectedly became acute and ultimately fatal. This fund is solely for the benefit and care of the three beautiful, magical children she left behind: her daughter Kevan (28), daughter Kaley (12), and son Kasen (9), as well as her husband Danny.

In life, Kelly never lacked words to express herself and yet there are not nearly enough words to describe her now. She was passionate about the people and causes she cared about and she showed up for her loved ones in both words and deeds. For Kelly, love was an action, not just a state of mind, and when she shined her light on you, the glow was spectacular.

Her children lived in that glow and are missing it terribly. It is the family's deepest hope that Kelly's village will rise up and help fill the unfillable void she left behind. No one person could ever match her shine.

Kelly had hustle and grind and took enormous pride in financially supporting her family. Her husband Danny, a welder, has sustained numerous injuries and ailments in the course of his profession and is pursuing disability and medical treatment so he can continue to care for their kids. We are working to ensure that everyone remains in the home that Kelly was so proud to have bought for her family.

On behalf of Danny, Kevan, Kaley, Kasen, as well as Kelly's parents (Randy and Kristine), her siblings (Kari, Keegan, and Kyle), and her magnificent extended family both in Texas and Washington, thank you all so much for your outpouring of support. Every comment, every text, every phone call (even if we can't answer yet), and every single kindness you have extended has been felt deeply by all of us. Thank you.
