Kelly Conwell Leal -- Support & Recovery Fund
While running errands with her daughter on September 27, 2020, beloved and longtime friend, Kelly Conwell Leal, suffered a ruptured aorta and required emergency open-heart surgery. Kelly was in a coma for several days in the intensive care unit and ultimately lost kidney functions. She is now on dialysis and making progress, but she is still in the hospital in the rehab unit working on her recovery. Kelly is a single parent who has two teen-aged children (ages 13 & 15) who need her and depend on her. Kelly is not able to work and is currently on long-term disability from her employer.
Many of you may remember Kelly as your classmate at Galena Park High School (class of 1985) and tight-knit fighting Yellow Jacket family.
Kelly could certainly use your help. First and foremost, Kelly would love your prayers! Please mention her name in your prayers, add her name to your group's prayer list, or just send healing, positive energy to Kelly and her family. Secondly, she could use some financial support. All money raised will go towards Kelly's medical expenses, recovery care, as well as to offset the financial burden of time away from work. All donations, no matter how small, are deeply appreciated. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and support!
