Kelly and Dana Shope

Hello, my name is Kelly and I find myself needing benevolent help from family and friends. For the last seven years, my wife Dana has been suffering from Multiple Sclerosis but with God’s help, MS has not overly hindered Dana’s involvement in our Pastoral Ministry. She is a gifted singer, musician, and anointed Bible Teacher. We were in pastoral transition when the Covid-19 Pandemic hit our world. This, of course, dramatically impacted us all, especially Church Families who had to seek out alternative ways of staying connected. Proverbs 27:1 tells us we cannot always know what one day will bring. On March 30th, Dana collapsed in my arms, suffered a massive heart attack, going into fatal cardiac arrest. I performed CPR until medical help arrived. They worked 21 minutes to successfully regain her heartbeat. We are now at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC where she is receiving care in the Cardiac ICU. I never thought we would find ourselves facing a crisis like this. However, we believe in the healing power of Jesus and fully expect Dana to completely recover.

Friends and Pastors have established this site to organize financial support. With this life-changing situation, one which Dana’s doctors project as a lengthy journey, any contributions will be greatly appreciated. In receiving support from family and friends, the pressure of sustaining the cost of living and the supply of immediate medical funds will be alleviated, which will help with the mental and emotional pressures we are experiencing.
