Our family’s world changed on the 23rd of November when mum became seriously unwell after suffering bleeding on the brain that resulted in a stroke. She spent time in ICU, with our family gathered in the waiting room, holding onto hope and praying for good news.

The stroke has affected mum both physically and mentally, impacting movement on the right side of her body, as well as her speech, energy levels, and emotions. Despite these challenges, she continues to show incredible strength and determination. Mum has now been transferred to rehabilitation, where she will start her journey to regain her independence with her therapy team. 

This was not something that crossed our minds when mum was in ICU. Now mum is stable, we can finally breathe again and gather our thoughts.

Mum has spent her 51st birthday and now Christmas in hospital. Anyone who knows mum knows how much she gives to everyone around her, always putting others first and going above and beyond without ever asking for anything in return.

This GoFundMe is a way to give mum back some of the love and support she has shown others for so long. The funds will support her recovery and ease the financial pressure as she heals.
