Kelli Lockhart and 7 children need your help!
Donation protected
Hey there! My name is Amber and I'm a long time friend of Kelli and her absolutely beautiful seven children. Yes, seven. Kelli is a single mom, and a very good one at that. She has raised some incredibly respectful children and done so mostly on her own.
Current issue: She has been served notice to move from her home due to it being sold and was given only 30 days. As you probably all know, rental property is few and far between in the Cleveland, TN area and what is available is incredibly expensive. Transparently, Kelli does not have good credit and is not able to rent from a lot of what is available out there, such as apartments or rentals that go through a real estate agency. Bottom line is, Even if she can find a place to rent, It is not even going to be in the ballpark of what she is currently paying.
My heart is breaking for her as she is only a few days from being homeless. Kelli Is constantly helping other people when she can and has even taken in other people's children in their time of need. She is the world to her children and they are the world to her. She does not want to have to split them up in other homes or have to look into a children's home. She has applied for government housing out of desperation, but the line is long and she's not near the top. Kelli is a hard worker and can support herself if the price of rent was reasonable. She does have a small amount of child support (there are only two dad's and neither of them are financially stable) coming in but is going to need help with meeting the cost of moving, and paying deposits. I would love to be able to raise enough money to also help her out for the first two or three months rent so she can get back on her feet.
Most of the people I know, myself included, do not currently have any idea what it's like to be homeless with seven children. As a mom I can't even imagine the feeling and for a few months I would like for her not to have to imagine that feeling either. Kelli has only requested everyone helping the form of prayer but I'm asking from the bottom of my heart for prayer and financial assistance. If we can all give even a small amount of money we can make an enormous difference in Kelli's life. At the end of the day we know God will supply all of our needs!! Please pray for Kelli and her children, give if you were able to and share this GoFundMe whether you are able to give or not.
