Kelley Strong: Hope for Harry

Donation protected
Harry Kelley is a hard working husband and father. Harry coached his children in every sport-basketball, baseball, football, and wrestling. He has touched so many lives through his coaching. Harry always gives so much of his time to make kids better athletes. Harry always worked all of the overtime that he could and even after working would go to practices and games with a ton of energy to get those kids motivated.

Heather and Harry have been together for 25 years! Since Heather is like a sister to me, I was even at her house the day that Harry came and picked her up for their first date. I was in the wedding and at the hospital when all of their children were born. This is why it breaks my heart to see what they are going through now.

Harry was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in March 2020. Harry continued to work while he was receiving chemo treatments. Then in July, he was unable to work anymore as his port got infected and the infection reached his heart. Harry has had many struggles since his diagnosis; he has multiple hospitalizations due to bowel blockages and infections.

Harry just found out at his most recent PET scan that after months of chemo, being sick, and being in pain that his tumor in his stomach is more active and increased in size. Harry now has to be under the care of a specialist in Pittsburgh. At his appointment this week, Harry found out that his large stomach tumor is B Cell Lymphoma, an aggressive type of NHL. Harry will be doing the RICE Chemotherapy Regimen (Rituximab + Ifosfamide + Carboplatin + Etoposide). Harry will need to get stem cell transplantation due to the high dose of chemo and possibly Immunotherapy.

Heather and Harry have three children at home. Hayden is in 5th grade, Haley is in 8th grade, and Hunter is a senior.  Harry should not have to worry about the overwhelming feeling of struggling to pay bills, because he needs to focus on this fight.

Harry has been forced to apply for Social Security Disability, which can be a long process. Anything you can do for the Kelley Family would be greatly appreciated. Any donations will go directly to the Kelley’s bank account to pay for bills as their account is the beneficiary of this GoFundMe. Harry has always been a proud provider for his family. Now this amazing family needs our support.  Please share! Thank you!
