Kelley Squires Funeral Expenses

There are some people who can just fill a room, they have that undeniable way of turning your mood completely around. It’s not by chance Kelley made an impact on the many lives she touched. Kelley was a blessing to everyone she met.  She was beyond kind, compassionate, and loving. Every conversation with her ended in laughter. She was an amazing bright light in so many people’s worlds.

Kelley is survived by many loved ones.  Undoubtedly, the four most important loves were her daughter, Stephanie McKernon and her beloved grandchildren Makenzie, Noah and Skyler McKernon. They were the four pieces that made her heart whole. All four were her greatest and truest blessings. You could feel her love for them as her eyes and entire face would light up when she talked about them. Without a doubt, she loved them fiercely. ❤️❤️❤️ She also leaves behind her parents, Joanne and Mike Squires, who she adored and cherished. To Kelley, family was her everything.

Kelley worked at Schuylerville Schools since 2004. She filled many roles in the district.  Working in both the high school and elementary cafeteria, as a bus monitor and as a child care giver in the Before/After School Program.

Kelley left a major impact on all that met her.  To the staff she worked with she was the one who could always make you smile and had an infectious laugh. She was REAL, you never knew what she would say. She was empathic and kind, always going the extra mile.

Oh, but to the kids at SCS, she made their hearts shine.  Every single student she came in contact with felt special. She was their confidante, their friend, the person who was always in their corner. She made them smile, she made them feel important, and she gave them the BEST hugs. She absolutely 100% LOVED ALL kids she worked with.  She was sincere with her love and the kids felt it.

Kelley just did what she did...never looking for recognition, she just wholeheartedly, loved her family, her coworkers and the kids she worked with. She brought a bright light to so many people, without even realizing it. The world is a little bit darker today as we all lost Kelley's shining light.

This sudden and unexpected loss leaves so many with broken hearts. None more than her family. Kelley gave so much to so many. The road ahead for her loved ones will be rocky to say the least. Please, let’s gather together and see if we can ease one burden during this difficult time. If you are able we are asking for donations to help her loved ones.  Funds raised will be used for funeral expenses  or any other expense the family may endure.

We can all learn this from Kelley:

“Always leave people better than you found them.
Hug the hurt. Kiss the broken. Befriend the lost.
Love the lonely.”
