My mother went into the hospital on Tuesday, November 29th, to have a simple hernia repair, and a hysterectomy done. The following days she wasn't improving, but getting worse. She eventually became so sick that they had to preform an emergency surgery because she was unresponsive. She had a lot of fluid in her abdomen, so it was making it hard for her to breathe. They drained it, and figured out that she had an ulcer in the back of her stomach that caused her to have septic shock and sepsis. She is now in the icu, with a respirator and sedated. I will now have to take over all of the responsibilities, including  financial responsibilities, and it's a lot for me to handle. I'm very overwhelmed. We have a very long road ahead of us..
